Epoxy HR is a two-component, high solid phenolic epoxy coating with high heat resistance. It provides corrosion protection for external areas of pipes and other steelwork exposed to high temperatures up to 200°C and application to other hot substrates up to 150°C. Epoxy HR is also suitable for prevention of corrosion under insulation up to 200°C.
Please contact us for details of acceptable conditions. Note that Epoxy HR may change colour at elevated temperatures.
- Heat resistant up to 205 °C (400 °F)
- High solids
- Excellent adhesion
- Can be used as primer, mid coat or finish coat in atmospheric environments

Surface Preparation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. The surface should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504.
Bare steel Cleanliness: Power tool cleaning to min. St 2, mill scale free (ISO 8501-1:2007) and a roughness between 35 - 50 microns. Improved surface treatment (blast cleaning to Sa 21⁄2) will improve the performance.
Other surfaces: The coating may be used on other substrates.

Typical Paint System: Epoxy HR 2 x 125 μm (Dry Film Thickness)
Typical Use: ?Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium substrates.
Protective: Designed as corrosion protection for surfaces operating at elevated temperatures where long corrosion protection is desired. Suitable for insulated and non insulated surfaces.
Spray: Use airless spray.
Brush: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
