Description
Jotacote Universal is a two-pack, abrasion resistant, high solids pure epoxy based primer/finish coat which may be applied in high film thickness. A universal primer specifically designed for use in new building situations. To be used on steel alone or in combination with various systems. If a cosmetic finish is required, it should be used together with a topcoat. Gives excellent corrosion protection both in salt and fresh water.

Additional Information
Surface Preparation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. The surface should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504.
Bare steel: Blast-cleaning to Sa 21⁄2 (ISO-8501-1:1988). Power tool cleaning to min. St 2 (ISO 8501-1:1988) may be acceptable, subject to exposure conditions.
Shop primed steel: Clean, dry and undamaged approved shopprimer.
Other surfaces: The coating may be used on other substrates.

Typical Use:
Marine: Exterior and interior areas, including outside hulls, superstructures, decks, cargo holds and water ballast tanks.
Protective: Recommended for offshore environments, including splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel.
Application:
Spray: Use airless spray.
Brush: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
Roller: May be used for small areas. Not recommended for first primer coat. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
