Description
Penguard HSP is a two pack, amine cured, anticorrosive epoxy coating which is designed to speed up the paint schedule in the production. It can be used as a primer, mid coat and finish coat or as a single coat system in urban and industrial atmospheres, coastal areas with low/moderate salinity.

Additional Information
Surface Preparation: To secure lasting adhesion to the subsequent product all surfaces shall be clean, dry and free from any contamination.
Carbon Steel: Minimum - St 2 (ISO 8501-1) Recommended - Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1)
Coated surfaces: Minimum - Clean, dry and undamaged compatible coating (ISO 12944-5 6.1) Recommended - Clean, dry and undamaged compatible coating (ISO 12944-5 6.1)
Typical Paint System: Penguard HSP 2 x 75 μm (DFT) followed by Hardtop AS 1 x 60 μm (DFT)
Other systems may be specified, depending on area of use.
Typical Use: Suitable for properly prepared aluminium, carbon steel, galvanised steel, shop primed steel and stainless steel substrate. For structural steel and piping to be exposed to a range of corrosive environments. Recommended for power plants, airports, buildings, refineries and mining equipment.
Application:
Brush: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
